How to Configure Email in SAP



Email Configuration in SAP System.

Follow the Steps:

1. Execute RZ10 transaction and set these parameters for instance profile add the following   parameters

icm/server_port_1          PROT=SMTP,PORT=25000,TIMEOUT=1200,PROCTIMEOUT=1200 is/SMTP/virt_host_0       *:*;

Need to Reboot the application server to take effect this profile parameter.

2. After Restart the Server Goto SMICM Transaction checks the  Service SMTP is Active or Not if  Not active choose the SMTP service and activate it.

3. Execute SCOT transaction and Check for SMTP under INT – it should be GREEN Double click on SMTP and set the following parameters

  • Description should be Mail server
  • Node in use should be ticked
  • Under SMTP connection
  • Mail host – 172.31.12.5 (Exchange server IP should be mentioned)
  • Mail port – 25
  • Security  - Do not Use TLS  
  • Choose Settings to provide  SMTP AUTH 
  • (example: Email address and Password to authenticate to sent email from email server)
  • Support address type choose internet
  • Address area Provide "*"
  • SAPscript/Smart Forms    PDF 
  • ABAP List                        HTM
  • Business Object/Link       TXT
  • RAW Text                         TXT
4. Then Save the Settings

5. Choose Settings -> Default Domains for email server ex: Gmail means to provide the default domain google.com 

6. Execute transaction SBWP  sent the email and check email status in SOST transaction.
